Nazareth is about 35 km from the Sea of Galilee and 100 km from Tel Aviv. There is no train station; the main transport links are by bus. Egged and Nateev Express buses run from Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Tiberias. The central bus station is on Paulus VI Street, a short walk from the old town.
Shared taxis (sheruts) also serve major routes and can be faster than the bus for shorter distances. A rental car gives more flexibility for exploring the Galilee hill villages nearby.
