Shiretoko Pass is the high point of the road across the peninsula, linking the Utoro and Rausu sides of the national park. On clear days the lookout has wide views to Mount Rausu and across the water toward Kunashiri Island. It is a simple roadside stop, but one of the easiest places to understand the scale of Shiretoko's mountains and coast.
