Jinshoji is considered Nagahama's oldest temple, founded in 895. Its collection includes Buddhist statues and fine decorative objects, including a nationally important flower-basket motif metalwork piece.
The temple is a quieter stop outside the main Kurokabe and castle circuit, best for visitors with an interest in old temple art.
