Triangle Park — Sankaku Kōen — is the small triangular concrete plaza at the centre of Amerika-mura, and it functions as the neighbourhood's living room. There is almost nothing to it: tiered steps, a scatter of trees, and a constant crowd of teenagers and twenty-somethings sitting around in whatever streetwear is current.
It comes alive as an informal stage. Buskers, breakdancers, skaters, and the occasional impromptu fashion shoot all use it, and on weekends it is the busiest people-watching spot in this part of Osaka. Come, grab a takeaway from one of the surrounding stalls, find a step, and watch Kansai youth culture in motion — then dive into the vintage shops and record stores in the lanes radiating out from it.
