Kawasaki Station is a major junction on the JR Tokaido Line, with frequent trains from Tokyo (6 minutes from Shinagawa, 12 minutes from Shinjuku via the Nambu Line) and Yokohama (9 minutes). Keikyu Kawasaki Station, adjacent, serves the private Keikyu Main Line with connections to Haneda Airport in around 15 minutes — the quickest airport link in the area. No subway serves central Kawasaki, but the Nambu Line and the private Daishi Line (for Kawasaki Daishi temple) extend from the main hub.
