Hiraizumi's sights are close enough to combine in one strong day. Chuson-ji and Motsu-ji are the anchors, while the palace ruins, garden sites, Mount Kinkeisan, and the cave temple at Takkoku no Iwaya give the town depth beyond its two famous temples.
