Three nights a week, the Siq and the area in front of the Treasury are lit by 1,500 candles in paper bags, and visitors walk down in silence. At the Treasury, a Bedouin musician plays an oud or rebab, mint tea is served, and a short narration of Bedouin tales follows.
It is touristy and not cheap (about 17 JD on top of your day ticket), and many visitors are disappointed because they expect a sound-and-light show. What it actually is is much simpler: a chance to walk the Siq under the stars and see the Treasury washed in firelight. Worth doing once, on a moonless night. Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays at 8:30 pm.
