Marina Crescent is a curved waterfront promenade along Salmiya's coastline, with a line of restaurants and cafes facing the Arabian Gulf on one side and the glass-pyramid Marina Mall on the other. In the evenings, particularly in the cooler months from October to April, it becomes the closest thing Kuwait has to a public gathering space: families walking, groups of friends at outdoor tables, and a general atmosphere of informal sociability.
The sea views are pleasant and the lights of Kuwait City are visible to the northwest. Restaurants range from Kuwaiti seafood to Lebanese, Indian, and American fast food. The promenade is at its best on Thursday and Friday nights, when most residents have the following day off.
