The original third-wave coffee chain in Bishkek, founded in 2008 by Kyrgyz returnees from Seattle. Sierra runs a small roastery in the city and pulls a reliably good espresso, with a side menu of pastries, salads and breakfast items. The Manas Avenue and Chuy Avenue branches are the most central and tend to be busy with students and the city's young professional class.
Free Wi-Fi, real seating, and reasonably priced food make Sierra one of the practical bases of any extended stay in the city.
