Aley is a town to walk in, eat in, and look out from rather than tick a list of sights. The main street climbs along the ridge with views west across the foothills to Beirut and the Mediterranean, restaurants line the slopes, and a few specific places — a synagogue, a museum, a couple of viewpoints — are worth setting aside time for.
