Jounieh and its Kaslik district offer serious competition to Beirut's dining scene. The waterfront in Kaslik is lined with restaurants ranging from casual mezze spots to upscale fish restaurants. For seafood, a simple plate of grilled fish or shrimp with fattoush and hummus at any of the waterfront spots will not disappoint — the fish comes directly from the harbour. For a Lebanese mezze spread, look for the older establishments away from the waterfront where prices are more reasonable.
