At 2,032 metres, Gunung Brinchang is the highest point in the Cameron Highlands and one of the few peaks in Malaysia you can drive most of the way up. A paved road reaches a car park near the summit, from where a short boardwalk leads through mossy cloud forest — gnarled trees draped in ferns, moss, and pitcher plants.
The summit itself has a telecommunications tower and an observation platform. On clear mornings, you can see all the way across the highland plateau. The mossy forest boardwalk is the real draw: it feels like stepping into another climate zone entirely, cool and dripping even when the rest of the highlands is sunny.
You can also reach the summit on foot via Trail 1 from Brinchang town, a steeper hike of about two hours up.
