Roti Prata in Brinchang

Crispy hand-flipped flatbread from roadside stalls

Address Brinchang

Brinchang has a couple of roti prata stalls where you can watch the whole show — traditional sarong-wearing cooks flipping and whipping dough on a hot griddle until it puffs up crispy and golden. The process is as entertaining as the result is delicious.

One stall offers modern takes with banana and strawberry fillings, but the plain original is still the better order. Pair it with a teh tarik (pulled milk tea) for a proper Cameron Highlands tea break. Not health food — the dough is made with flour and lard — but worth every bite.
