The Queen Victoria Memorial Clock Tower was presented by local millionaire Cheah Chen Eok in 1897 to mark Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. Its 60-foot height and location near Fort Cornwallis make it one of George Town's most visible colonial landmarks.
