MBJB City Forest is a useful green pause in Johor Bahru, especially if the city traffic and malls have started to blur together. The park has shaded paths, ponds, small bridges, and enough trees to make it feel cooler and calmer than the surrounding roads.
It is not a destination to cross Malaysia for, but it clears the score threshold because it fills a real traveller need in JB: somewhere central to walk, reset, and see local families using the city rather than shopping in it. Go in the morning or late afternoon, when the heat is kinder.
