Teluk Nipah is the quieter, slightly more remote alternative to Pasir Bogak, about 5 km further north along the western coast. The beach is longer and less developed, with a handful of simple guesthouses and one or two small restaurants. It attracts travellers who want a beach holiday without too much infrastructure — bungalows on the sand, the sound of the sea, and not much else.
The snorkelling around the small offshore islet of Pulau Giam, visible from Teluk Nipah, is among the best on Pangkor — coral, reef fish, and clear water on calm days. Boats can be arranged from the beach for a small fee. At low tide you can wade out partway to the islet. It is the most peaceful corner of the island.
