Rejang Esplanade

The Rejang Esplanade is Sibu's riverfront promenade, a simple landscaped strip where the town opens onto the Rajang. Fishing boats, express boats, barges, and the occasional floating debris all pass by, making this a better place for watching Sibu than for photographing it.

Go late in the afternoon when the heat softens. The Swan Statue nearby is Sibu's favourite photo prop, but the real attraction is the river itself: wide, muddy, busy, and completely central to the town's identity.
