Sky Resort is Ulaanbaatar's easiest organised ski and outdoor leisure area, set in the hills east of the city. In winter it gives locals and visitors a place for lift-served skiing without committing to a longer trip into Mongolia's mountains.
For travellers it is most useful as a novelty or a short active break, not as a world-class ski destination. Conditions are seasonal and can be very cold, so check operations, transport, and equipment rental before heading out.
