Bago is not a culinary destination, but you will not go hungry. Near the Shwemawdaw Pagoda there are good noodle shops where you can get a filling bowl for next to nothing. The restaurant beside the Emperor Hotel serves breakfast and lunch but closes before dinner, so plan accordingly if you are staying overnight.
