Purcell Tower is the small clock tower in central Pyin Oo Lwin, a leftover from the hill station's British period. Local lore says its chimes were modelled on Big Ben, which fits the town's odd mix of Myanmar street life and colonial English details.
It is a quick stop rather than a destination on its own, but it helps orient a walk through the old centre and the surrounding colonial-era streets.
