Ngapali is reached by flying into Thandwe Airport (HTI), which receives daily flights from Yangon on Yangon Airways and Myanmar National Airlines. The flight takes about 40 minutes. The beach is a 30-minute drive from the airport. There is no reliable overland route — the roads through Rakhine State are poor and the journey from Yangon takes two days at minimum.
The best time to fly is during the dry season, November to April, when both the weather and the flight schedules are dependable. During the monsoon months (May–October), many resorts close and flights are reduced or cancelled.
