The baradari — a twelve-doored pavilion typical of Mughal and Sikh garden architecture — stands in the centre of Sheranwala Bagh. Also known as the Mahan Singh Baradari, it dates to the early 19th century and is associated with Maharaja Ranjit Singh, whose father Mahan Singh was governor of Gujranwala. The marble inlay and frescoes have suffered over two centuries of weather and minimal upkeep, but enough remains to give a sense of the original ornament.
The interior is occasionally used for civic events and is otherwise unstaffed; the exterior and surrounding garden are the main reason to visit.
