Jinnah Stadium is Gujranwala's main cricket ground, with a capacity of around 20,000. It has hosted limited international fixtures, including ODIs and T20 matches, and is the home venue for first-class teams from the district. On match days the atmosphere is loud and partisan — Gujranwala takes its sport seriously, on the pitch as well as in the akharas.
When there is nothing on, the surrounding sports complex hosts athletics meets, youth tournaments, and training sessions.
