Jericho's attractions are among the oldest in the world — literally. This is one of the few places on earth where you can stand on a Neolithic tower built 10,000 years ago, ride a cable car to a Byzantine monastery, and eat locally-grown dates for lunch. The main sites are spread over a few kilometres north of the modern town center and are easy to cover in a day.
