Getting Around

Getting around Angeles City is cheap and straightforward, though not always comfortable. The main options are tricycles, jeepneys, and taxis, each with their own quirks.

Tricycles

The most common way to get around locally. A motorbike with a small passenger sidecar, tricycles are slow but cheap and available everywhere. They are not permitted on major roads near the airport or the expressway, so they work best for short hops within the city.

Jeepneys

The iconic Philippine public transport — colorful, crowded, and running all day and night at very low fares. Jeepneys connect Angeles City to surrounding towns and cities. They tend to be packed with commuters, so they are not ideal if you are carrying heavy luggage, but they are hard to beat for price and availability.

Taxis

Less common than you might expect. Most taxis in Angeles City operate as airport transfers or serve the Clark Freeport Zone. They are metered, but agreeing on a fare before you get in is wise for longer trips.

Buses

Regular buses run between Angeles City and other major cities, including Manila. Larger and more comfortable than jeepneys, with fares that vary by distance. Both ordinary and air-conditioned services are available.
