Getting Around

Binan is a sprawling industrial city, so getting around on foot only works in the town centre. For everything else, you will need wheels.

By Bus

The cheapest way to get around. Regular buses cover most routes and are fine outside rush hours. Small minivans run popular routes at slightly higher fares but are faster, especially in traffic. Avoid carrying large sums of cash or wearing expensive jewellery on buses.

By Taxi

More comfortable than buses and a better option if you are travelling alone or late at night. Make sure the driver turns on the meter before departing. Flag-down rates run 30 to 40 Philippine pesos. Carry small bills — drivers frequently claim not to have change. It helps to give directions using landmarks and main avenues rather than specific addresses, so familiarise yourself with the main reference points before you arrive.
