When to Go

Binan has two distinct seasons, and timing your visit around them makes a real difference.

Dry Season (December to April)

The best time to visit. No typhoons, clear skies, and good conditions for sightseeing and outdoor activities. Most festivals fall in December and May, so if you want fiestas, plan accordingly. Be warned that April and May get extremely hot — sunscreen, hats, and plenty of water are essential. Major Christian holidays (Christmas, Easter) see heavy domestic travel, making transport and accommodation harder to arrange.

Rainy Season (May to November)

Budget travellers take note: hotels often discount rates by 50 percent and flights are significantly cheaper during the rainy months, especially August to November. The trade-off is real, though. Typhoons are common in this part of the Philippines, and a bad storm can keep you indoors for days. If you are willing to accept that risk, the savings are substantial.
