Coron town is small enough to cross on foot in 15 minutes. Tricycles are the local taxi — fixed rates around the town centre, slightly more for the outer barangays and for runs out to Maquinit Hot Springs. Motorbikes can be rented from several outfits along the main road, useful for self-exploring the back roads of Busuanga.
For anything beyond the town — the islands, the wrecks, the lakes — you book onto a boat. Group tours leave from the town pier each morning at around 9 a.m. and return by sunset. Private boat hire is cheap by international standards and lets you skip the crowded schedules.
