Eating Out

Coron town's food scene punches well above its weight. The harbour brings in fresh fish daily — tuna, lapu-lapu, tanigue, blue marlin — and most of the better restaurants base their menus on whatever the boats landed that morning. There's also a strong tradition of Filipino comfort food (sinigang, adobo, kare-kare, grilled liempo) in the small carinderias around the market, plus a surprising number of Korean and Western places driven by the diving crowd. Eat on the early side — most kitchens close by 10 p.m.
