There are essentially two reasons people come to Coron: to dive the WWII wrecks of the Imperial Japanese Navy fleet sunk in the bay, and to spend long days on island-hopping bangka boats threading between the limestone cliffs of Coron Island and the surrounding Calamian archipelago. Both deliver. Add in a hot spring, a hill with sunset stairs above the town, and a wildlife sanctuary on a nearby island, and you have a place that rewards five or six days easily.
Most island trips run as set "Tour A", "Tour B", "Tour C" packages with fixed stops; ask in the town about a private boat if you want to combine them differently. Diving and snorkelling are bookable through any of the dozens of operators in town.
