The dry season runs roughly December to May. April and May are hot but coincide with the mango harvest, when the Manggahan Festival fills Jordan with parades, street dances, and mango contests. The festival peaks in the week around 22 May, the date the province was created.
June to November is the wet season, with afternoon showers and occasional typhoons in late summer. Ferries from Iloilo are sometimes cancelled when the wind is up. Outside typhoon weather, the rain is brief and the resorts are quiet — fine for travellers happy to take the weather as it comes.
