Poctoy White Beach

Poctoy White Beach on Marinduque's eastern coast near the town of Torrijos is the most accessible beach on the main island. The sand is fine and white, the water is calm and shallow near shore, and the setting — facing open sea with hills behind — is attractive without being dramatic. It is the kind of place where families spread mats and spend a whole day doing very little.

Outside of summer weekends and Holy Week, the beach is quiet enough that you might share it with only a handful of people. There are a few basic huts and a small pavilion area, but facilities are minimal. The drive from Boac along the island's east coast road passes through rice paddies and fishing villages and is pleasant in itself.
