Marinduque's best beaches are on the offshore islands rather than the main coast. The three Tres Reyes Islands — Gaspar, Melchor, and Baltazar — each have stretches of white sand and calm water, reached by banca from the southern towns of Gasan or Torrijos. Gaspar is the most visited but still quiet; Melchor and Baltazar are almost deserted. Bring food and water — there are no facilities.
On the main island, Poctoy White Beach near Torrijos on the eastern coast is the most accessible beach, with a narrow strip of white sand and calm conditions good for swimming. It is the kind of place where local families spend weekends, and feels genuinely unhurried even when there are other people around.
