Most eating in Sipalay happens at the resort restaurants on Sugar Beach and Punta Ballo. Standards vary but the better ones are genuinely good, and the waterfront setting compensates for almost anything. Takatuka Lodge on Sugar Beach has built a reputation for its pizza; Driftwood Village is the place for a cold San Miguel and whatever the kitchen has caught that day.
In the town centre proper, the market area has the usual Filipino staples — grilled fish, rice, sisig, and the sweet local pork sausages — at local prices. The town has enough basic restaurants to keep you fed, but dining in Sipalay city proper is a functional affair rather than a highlight.
