Catarman's appeal is primarily natural. Waterfalls, caves, and the offshore island geometry of Biri are the main draws; the town itself provides a comfortable base with decent food and easy logistics. The Our Lady of the Annunciation Cathedral gives the town square its architectural anchor, and a slow morning on the streets — following the smell of fresh tamalos to whichever stall is busiest — is time well spent.
