Getting There

Tarlac City sits on the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and the SCTEX, the two main arteries north out of Manila. Driving from Manila takes about two hours in normal traffic, three or more in heavy traffic. Tarlac City exits are well marked.

Buses from Manila run constantly throughout the day from the Genesis, Five Star, and Victory Liner terminals in Cubao and Pasay. The ride is about three hours and costs around 250 pesos. The bus station in Tarlac City is on McArthur Highway near the city centre.

The nearest airport is Clark International (Diosdado Macapagal) about 50 km south. From Clark, jeepneys and buses make the run to Tarlac in around an hour. Trains do not run to Tarlac — the old PNR line has been suspended for years.
