Quema House

Ancestral house in Vigan's heritage core, showing Ilocano domestic architecture and period interiors.

Quema House is one of the ancestral houses that give Vigan's heritage district its texture beyond Calle Crisologo's postcard view. The house represents the bahay na bato tradition, with a stone lower level, timber upper floor, capiz-shell windows, and interiors shaped by colonial-era domestic life.

It is best appreciated as part of a slow walk through the old town. Vigan's charm comes from the accumulation of houses like this, each one adding detail to the larger story of trade, status, and Ilocano adaptation of Spanish colonial forms.
