The Heritage Village in the old part of Dammam is housed in a building of traditional Arabian architecture and presents collections of antique jewellery, ancient weapons, old photographs, and household objects that illustrate the history of the Eastern Province before and during the oil era. The building itself — with its thick mud-brick walls and carved wooden screens — is as interesting as the contents. Several rooms are set up as traditional dining areas serving local food.
