When to Go

The best time to visit Dammam is from November through March, when temperatures are pleasant — typically 15–25°C in the day, cool at night. This is when the Corniche comes alive in the evenings, outdoor activities are comfortable, and the Half Moon Bay beach is at its best without the brutal summer heat.

Summer (June–September) is extremely hot, with temperatures regularly exceeding 45°C and high humidity from the Gulf. Most outdoor activity becomes impossible during the midday hours. The city functions — air conditioning is universal — but it is not a pleasant time to visit unless you have a specific reason to come.

Ramadan timing shifts annually; during this month, restaurants are closed during daylight hours and public behaviour rules are more strictly observed. The city becomes more animated in the evenings during Ramadan.
