Arabian Horse Museum

Inside At-Turaif, the Arabian Horse Museum is a small but well-curated exhibit on the Bedouin's relationship with the desert horse. The Arabian breed was domesticated and refined in the Najd, the region around Diriyah, and the Al Saud family bred horses on a serious scale.

Genealogies, saddlery, photography, a few startling films — together they explain how Saudi Arabia ended up with possibly the most genetically valuable horses in the world. Plan thirty minutes. Free with the At-Turaif admission ticket.
