One of the new generation of restaurants opening in restored coral-stone houses in Al Balad, taking advantage of the UNESCO listing and the recent loosening of tourism rules. The cooking is contemporary Hijazi — old Jeddah recipes plated and presented with care.
The rooftop tables look out over Al Balad's tower houses; the courtyard is calmer. A welcome alternative to the chain restaurants on Tahliah and a chance to eat inside one of the old town's restorations.
