Jubail Corniche

The Jubail Corniche stretches along the Arabian Gulf waterfront and is the social centre of the city on weekends and evenings. Families gather here to walk, fish from the sea wall, and watch the sun go down over the Gulf. The waterfront is well maintained by the Royal Commission standards and has cafes, seating areas, and a small amusement zone. In the evening, with the industrial plant lights reflecting on the water and the air cooling off the sea, it has a particular atmosphere that is hard to find elsewhere in the Gulf. The corniche connects to the city's beach access points and is the starting point for most local leisure.
