Eating Out

Khobar has one of the broader restaurant scenes in Saudi Arabia, partly because of the long-standing expatriate community working in the oil industry. Traditional Saudi food — kabsa (spiced rice with meat), grilled fish, the seafood-heavy Hijazi and Eastern Province dishes — is widely available, alongside excellent Lebanese, Yemeni, Egyptian, Filipino, Indian and a growing range of higher-end international restaurants. Prince Faisal bin Fahd Street and the area around the Corniche have the densest concentration of options.
