Samhakdo is a former group of small islands off Mokpo that was joined to the mainland by land reclamation. Its name refers to a local legend of three cranes, and the area now functions as a waterfront park and walking area.
It is not Mokpo's top sight, but it is a pleasant place to stretch your legs near the harbour. Combine it with Yudalsan, the marine museums, or a walk along the waterfront.
