Yeongildae Beach is Pohang's best-known city beach and one of the main sunrise spots on Korea's east coast. The broad sand, offshore pavilion, and Yeongilgyo Bridge make it more than a simple swim stop.
In season there are showers, changing rooms, toilets, food stalls, and beach gear rentals. Outside summer, it is still worth a walk for the sea views and the pavilion set out over the water.
