Munsu Football Stadium is the home ground of Ulsan Hyundai FC, one of South Korea's most successful K League clubs with multiple championship titles. Built for the 2002 FIFA World Cup, it seats around 44,000 and feels genuine on match days — Korean football fans are loud, organised, and enthusiastic in a way that makes even a regular league match entertaining.
If you are in Ulsan during the K League season (March to November), catching a match is one of the better evenings you can spend here. Tickets are cheap by European football standards, the atmosphere is good, and the stadium has decent food and beer available inside. Ulsan Hyundai's games often sell out for derbies, so buy in advance. The stadium is about fifteen minutes by taxi from central Ulsan. The Ulsan Mobis basketball team also plays in the city if you prefer indoor sport.
