Hisar's attractions cluster on a single hill outside the modern town: the fortress gate, the two madrasas, and the caravanserai. The whole site can be walked in an hour or two, then expanded into a half-day with the museum and a wander through the surrounding park. Bring water in summer — there is little shade once you climb up to the citadel.
