Getting There

Surin Beach is on Phuket's northwest coast, about 24 kilometres from Phuket International Airport and 15 kilometres north of Patong. There is no direct public bus service to Surin itself.

From the airport: Taxis and private transfers are the practical option. The journey takes around 30 to 40 minutes depending on traffic and costs around 700–900 THB by metered taxi. Grab (the regional ride-hailing app) often works well at the airport and is worth checking for pricing.

From Patong or Phuket Town: Songthaews (shared pickup trucks serving as informal buses) run along the main west coast road and can drop you at the junction for Surin, from where it's a short motorbike taxi or walk to the beach. The journey from Patong takes around 20 minutes by road. A private taxi from Patong is straightforward and should cost 300–400 THB.

By scooter: Renting a scooter is the most flexible option for getting to Surin and exploring the surrounding coast. Rental shops are abundant in Patong and most tourist areas. The coast road north from Kamala to Surin is well-surfaced and pleasant to ride.
