Surin Beach is better suited to watching the sea than swimming in it during the monsoon months, but it earns its reputation as one of Phuket's most pleasant stretches of coastline during the dry season. Snorkelling at the rocky headlands on either side of the bay is the main water activity when the sea is calm. The beach road north of Surin leads quickly to Kamala Beach and the hills above hold some of Phuket's most photographed views.
