Thongyoy is the most photographed café in Ari — a multi-storey fantasy of artificial flowers and rose-gold tones created by Thai fashion designer Thongyoy Phaesuwan. Every floor is a photo set, but the draw is genuine: delicate Thai traditional sweets like khanom chan and khanom tom, served on gilded plates, often as a tea set with a pot of hot tea.
It's busy and unashamedly Instagram-driven, so come on a weekday if you want room to breathe and shoot. Portions are generous and the desserts are the real thing under all the decor. On Ari Soi 4.
